Icons, Icons, and More Icons
Who doesn’t like icons, right? If you’re a web designer, icons can be your best friend. If you don’t use them, your design could suffer (not always the case), but if you do use them, your design can really pop and stand out from the crowd. As you may have read in my previous article, I’ve accumulated tons of bookmarks over the last few years and every now and again I plan on sharing these bookmarks with you, the readers. I intend on sharing these in the form of articles so you can benefit from them as well. In this article, I share my “icons” bookmark folder.
They’re All Free! Yes, I Said Free
That’s every icon bookmark that I currently have. If you know anymore free icon sets, please post them in the form of a comment below and I will add them to the list. Ohh, and tell your friends!

Thanks for the additions Daravuth. I didn’t add YellowIcon to the list as I didn’t see any free icons there.

Nice collection, devaintart also has a large collection of icons. Some not just targetting towards web but also desktop uses as well.

Thanks Stavanger, I’ll have to check out deviantart and see what I can find. I always forget about that place.

Thanks for the list Deron. I think I used FamFamFam for icons on Blogtrepreneur - they’re very good and an awesome way to make money if you have different packages.

Impressive list, Deron. To be honest I don’t use icons too much, but then I’m not that seasoned a web developer / designer.
Hope you enjoy the weekend.

Adnan: Yep, looks like Blogtrepreneur uses famfamfam. I think they really are the best icon set out there, I just think they may be becoming a little overused. But, that’s what happens when you have a great free product like Mark does over at famfamfam.
David:Thanks for stopping by. You know, until you mentioned it, I never noticed that your site had no icons. You really make it work without them!

Josh: Wow, LinkMatrix has a lot of icons. It looks like a compilation of icons from around the web? I thought I noticed some famfamfam icons in there?
Ward: No problem Ward, hope they come in handy. BTW, I already included the Tango set in my original list.
